A-LEVELS

Information sheets about each subject offered at AS and A-level are contained in the A-level Choices Booklet. Each subject outline includes a brief description of course content, careers for which each subject may be useful and the examination format.  At Nairobi Academy students who start the AS/A-level course in September will take AS papers at the end of Year 12.  Any AS level retakes are done at the end of Year 13 along with the A2 examinations

Some American universities or UK university foundation courses may accept AS levels as sufficient entry requirements.  However, good universities worldwide will always require completion of full A-levels.

Nairobi Academy offers the linear programme at A- level  which gives continuity and progression in line with British Natioal Curriculum. We offer 17 subjects in Year 12  and in Year 13. Which include  Accounting, Applied ICT,  Art and Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Drama and Theatre Studies,Economics, English Literature French, Geography, German, History, Mathematics, Physical Education, Physics and Psychology.

The students are evaluated through two Examining boards Edexcel and CIE . We have flexible timetabling which allows Year 13 students to take AS-Level subjects. We have small classes with highly qualified and experienced teachers. We do offer opportunities to foster leadership qualities, individualised career guidance, worldwide institutional links, provision for  Gifted and Talented, Community  Service, Outdoor Education  and much more. More than ten Nationalities are represented.
