MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

The department aims to demystify Mathematics and make it an enjoyable and likeable subject by all students.
Syllabus
Ordinary Level
The department prepares students for Cambridge IGCSE in Year 11. Students from Year 7 to 11 undertake a spiral* syllabus in preparation for this examination. In order to be registered for IGCSE in the department, a student must have been in this school in both Year 10 and 11. These are the most important years of instructions to IGCSE.
Advanced Level
The department prepares students for Edexcel GCE, with Advanced Supplementary (AS) at Year 12 and A Level at Year 13. In order for a student to be admitted to study Mathematics in Year 12, he/she must have obtained at least grade B in Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics or at least grade B (minus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. To be enrolled for A level in Year 13, a student must have obtained at least grade C in Mathematics at AS.  (Mr. Salim Versi - Head of Department)
