Our Curriculum

We follow the English National Curriculum early years and key stage one programmes of learning. The Pre-Prep school provides a warm, caring and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to learn through a variety of activities and experiences offering a balance between artistic and practical activities to encourage rapid early development and help children overcome any disadvantage.
The fully qualified and experienced staff is committed to the welfare and development of each child. Learning and fun go hand in hand, and our aim is to create and inspire a love of learning in a safe and caring place that stimulates and builds self confidence. Children completing PP4/Year 1 at the Pre-Prep School will have automatic entry to preparatory school year 2.

Nairobi Academy satisfies the criteria for childrens' education, identifying and assessing individual needs, paying attention both to personal and social development as well as to physical and creative needs, and giving the children a sense of language, literacy and math.

Extra-Curricular Activities

We have a wide range of activities for the children which include; swimming and sports. There are other optional activities available such as: Taekwondo, Creative art, Monkeynastixs, Dance classes, Pottery, Roller skating and Horse riding.
Trips

Each term the children are taken, by the school bus, on a school outing. Excursions to places of interest e.g. Giraffe Centre, Daphne Sheldrick's Orphanage, Mamba Village, are arranged, and these are mostly related to the topic of the term.
